HARARE – Gospel sensation Tafadzwa Bernard has set his sights on penetrating the international market through his music as he attempts to win more souls for the kingdom.
The Nyasha Dzekudenga hitmaker is on a mission to connect with a number of personalities within the gospel sector on an international level to achieve his dreams.
The upcoming gospel artist who was born and raised in Murewa before moving to the capital to pursue a new chapter in 2010, aims to take the local gospel to the global scene.
“I was raised in Murewa in Mukarakate, Chibanda Village. In school I used to love deep song and worship songs as well,” he said.
Tafadzwa Bernard has to date released four tracks which have been fairly appreciated in various circles. The songs include Holy, Nyasha Dzekudenga, Muri Mutsvene and Muri Mwari.
“I was born in a family of five and I am the second born. My music journey started in 2019 though I was born a singer but realized later that I am a minister through church choir,” said Bernard.
The talented artist who has produced a number of trending songs has had a number of challenges in his childhood which have strengthened his faith and helped him persevere through tough circumstances.
He went to Chinhenga Primary since Grade 1-Grade 5 before attending a host of other institutions due to various issues.
“In 2004 after the death of my father I then transferred to Jekwa Primary from 2005-2007. I started my Form 1 at Jekwa Secondary since 2008-2010 second term.
“I then transferred from Murewa Jekwa Secondary to Harare in 2010 where I finished my ordinary and Advanced Level in 2013,” he said.
Besides music, Bernard is also an entrepreneur within Zimbabwe since 2014 as a passion as well as poverty alleviation stance.
“I do some business project to run away from poverty,” the ambitious artist said.
It is this zeal that is steering the Majiva Music star to pursue a journey of international destiny in order to reach many souls.
