JOHANNESBURG – CAPS United star player, Ishmael Wadi, has joined South African first division side JDR Stars on a two-year deal after a successful trial stint.

Wadi who has been the shining light for the struggling Green Machine during the Chibuku Super Cup impressed the JDR Stars staff during his first week of a two week trial stint.

JDR Stars also offered Wadi an option for another year on his two year contract provided he excess during his stay.

The departure of Wadi who joined CAPS United this season from Harare City is certainly a blow for the ambitious Harare giants.

Wadi carried United on his shoulders with his goals ensuring the Green Machine stay within knockout stage qualification distance in the Chibuku Super Cup.

JDR Stars, an ambitious Pretoria based side are also said to have agreed to sign Young Warriors forward Tapiwa Mandinyenya whom they have been following for some time.

Mandinyenya caught the attention of JDR Stars when he played at the U17- COSAFA Cup and negotiations for the player started last season with his handlers Aces Youth Soccer Academy.

JDR Stars are also home to unheralded Zimbabwean striker Temptation Chiwunga young brother to Cranborne Bullets striker Lot Chiwunga.
