HARARE – Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) lawmaker Joana Mamombe and Cecelia Chimbiri’s application for discharge at the close of the State case has been dismissed.
Chief Magistrate Faith Mushure said the two failed to discredit the evidence by State witnesses in the case they are accused of faking abduction.
The two will now be put to their defence. They were remanded to 15 September at 9am for continuation of trial.
