“Police are appealing to the public who may have information about the whereabouts of suspects Simbarashe Zikoke and Wellington Zharare to contact the nearest police station.

“At the same time, we reiterated the need for people to seek mediation from elders when there is a dispute,” Mahoko said.

The body of the deceased was transported to the morgue of Gokwe South Hospital. Elsewhere, police are investigating the murder of a 50-year-old man from Mberengwa by two male assailants who allegedly beat him to death on Monday at the Makuwerere business center and accused him of interfering in their family affairs.

The suspects Tofaranashe Mhlanga, 22, and Tinodaishe Mhlanga, 21 – allegedly related and from the village of Ndara – are also still at large.
