CAPS United, Dodo In Crucial Chibuku Super Cup Tie

CAPS United coach Darlington Dodo reckons that his team will recover from the 1-0 defeat to Harare City on Thursday and still qualify for the quarterfinals of the Chibuku Super Cup.

CAPS United coach Darlington Dodo reckons that his team will recover from the 1-0 defeat to Harare City on Thursday and still qualify for the quarterfinals of the Chibuku Super Cup. 

Caps United fell to a Marshal Machazani header in the second half, dropping two points behind Harare City who still have a game in hand against ZPC Kariba. 

Dodo will go into Sunday’s match aware that anything shot of victory will likely to see him thrown out of the Green Machine sinking ship. 

“No, no don’t rule us out. We are going to regroup and come back stronger after rectifying our mistakes,” Dodo said. 

“It’s not like our play was bad, it’s only that we failed to convert the numerous chances that came our way. We had superior ball possession but it was the finishing which let us down. 

“We are going to build on the performance we had in the first half.” 

Clive Augusto the 2019 season top goal scorer was not given any chance on his Caps United debut by the impressive Harare City captain Machazani. 

Dodo also threw in veteran striker Simba Nhivi towards the end of the match but striker who is making a return after a sabbatical also found the going tough.
