HARARE – Intratek Zimbabwe director Wicknell Chivayo, who is being accused of paying a US$10,000 bribe to former Zimbabwe Power Company (ZPC) board chairperson Stanley Kazhanje in a Gwanda solar project deal, has petitioned the High Court seeking an order to stay his criminal trial set for October 28, 2019.

Chivayo said the State cannot proceed to trial because the High Court is yet to give a determination on his application for review which he filed after a Harare magistrate had dismissed his exception application in August this year.
