BULAWAYO – Highlanders FC has officially announced the appointment of Kelvin Kaindu as their new head coach.
The Zambian football strategist will take over from Baltemar Brito, whose contract was not renewed.
Kelvin Kaindu, 46, has a history with Bosso, having played for the club after joining in 1997. He also served as the head coach for the team from 2012 to 2014.
The club expressed its enthusiasm for the return of Kaindu in a statement, extending a warm welcome to the experienced coach.
“The entire management at the club would like to extend a warm welcome to Kelvin Kaindu and wish him all the best as he opens yet another chapter with Highlanders Football Club,” the statement read.
The length of Kaindu’s contract has not been disclosed at this time.

Highlanders set to rebuild
Highlanders had a decent performance in the recently concluded Premier League season, finishing in the fifth position after leading the table for a significant part of the campaign.
With Kaindu at the helm, the team will look to rebuild and mount a strong challenge for the title in the upcoming season scheduled to kick off in March.
Kelvin Kaindu, a former striker, found himself without a club since parting ways with Zambian side Zanaco in April.
In addition to Highlanders and Zanaco, Kaindu has coached several clubs in Zambia, including Nkana, Power Dynamos, and Buildcon.
His coaching experience also extends to Zimbabwe, where he has worked with Triangle and How Mine.
The appointment of Kaindu brings anticipation and excitement among Highlanders supporters, who hope for a successful chapter under his leadership in the upcoming season.
