PRETORIA – Zimbabwe international Washington Arubi has been nominated for the 2020/21 Nedbank Cup Player of the Tournament following his heroics for TTM in the cup.
The winner will be announced at the 2020/21 South Africa Premier Soccer League awards ceremony on Sunday June 6.
This follows a notable run in the Nedbank Cup where Arubi’s penalty shootout heroics against Swallows FC and Mamelodi Sundowns in the Round of 16 and semi-finals, were key to Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila reaching the final.
He will battle for the top gong along with teammate, midfielder Ndabayithehwa Ndlondlo, and Sundowns’ Shalulile, who was the tournament’s joint top-scorer.
