MWENEZI – A minibus went off the road and struck a tree near the Lion and Elephant Motel in Mwenezi on the Beitbridge-Masvingo road, causing FOUR people to die instantly and several others to sustain serious injuries.
The four people—includes two 13-year-old girls— according to chief superintendent Tichaona Nyongo, the official controlling Beitbridge.
He said despite being closer to Beitbridge, the accident, took place in another district.
The victims were all members of the same family who were visiting South Africa for the festive season.
Some survivors were treated and released from the Beitbridge District Hospital, while others were admitted.
