Zimbabwean Mixed Martial Arts fighter Sylvester ‘ Gladiator’ Chipfumbu has a chance to graduate into the lucrative Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) when he fights Brazilian Vinicius de Oliveira in the main fight of the night at the UAE Warriors 24 in Abu Dhabi on 29 October.
Chipfumbu who is the Extreme Fighting Championship bantamweight champion will be fighting in front of the UFC boss Dana White and an impressive performance is likely to convince White to sign the South Africa based Zimbabwean into the better sponsored championship.
“It’s a great opportunity for me that I will be fighting in front of Dana White. Millions of MMA fans will be glued to the fight,” said Chipfumbu.
“If you had asked me a week ago and I wouldn’t have thought I will be at the position I’m today. I can’t wait to add a second title, so come next week, I will be victorious.”
The Gweru bred Chipfumbu, claimed the EFC bantamweight title in May after beating South African Faeez Jacobs by a unanimous points decision.
