First half ended with the scoreline 1-0 against Shanghai Shenhua who did their best to restrict the opponents.

Romanian midfielder Nicolae Stanciu was next on the score-sheet eleven minutes with a beautiful goal outside the 18-yards.

Shanghai pulled one back in the 78th minute through substitute Zhu Jianrong to raise glimmer hope of a comeback.
