South Africa-based musician Headmaster Burusa has consolidated the revolutionary political space for MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa in the latest Revolution Volume 3 album released month-end.
The exiled young activist has been churning out some big Chimurenga melodies making a clarion call to citizens especially the youths through the “Citizens Convergence for Change” mantra to stand with Chamisa – the only voice for their concerns.
Headmaster Burusa had to delay the release of the latest project after its production was disturbed by secret state agents who were hunting him for ‘poking fun’ at their incompetent superiors in his songs.
“I worked on Volume 1 in 2018 but for this year there are two projects. I was disturbed much by moving from Zimbabwe to South Africa because of CIOs who were pursuing my life,” said Burusa.
In the Volume 1 project in 2018, Burusa rallied behind Chamisa describing him as the legitimate successor to the late icon Morgan Tsvangirai in a song called Signature.
He also voiced concern at the manner in which the July 2018 elections had been handled by Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) in a song maPlaying Cards.
Fast forward to 2021, the political activists who said he is not a full time musician has remained rooted in the same idea – that Chamisa is the heir apparent to the national throne.
The 9-track album is a fully packaged barrage that will leave the Mnangagwa regime shell-shocked for a while but also it will awaken the youths to register to vote and make sure change becomes a reality.
The song “WiFi” tops the charts so far and has already send everyone gaga with its hard hitting lines while its chorus makes it a perfect singalong tune for political gatherings.
Simply put, the songs reminds everyone that Chamisa is the anointed one who is going to bring change while MDC is the WiFi of happiness.
Other songs on the mega project include “Social Distance”, “Tobuda Bhobho”, “Siyanai Naye” , “Bvisai Mabhinya” “Buda Pachena” (Citizens Converge for Change) , “Hapana Akanganisa” (Reloaded), “Tondosangana Ikoko” and “Happy Birthday” (Dedicated to – President Chamisa).
