HARARE – Henrietta Rushwaya who grabbed the headlines last week after her attempt to smuggle 15 carats of gold was foiled at the Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport on her way to Dubai has continued to hog the limelight on the international scene.
This comes after the British Parliament called for immediate action against the Zimbabwe government for continuous gross actions with Rushwaya suspected to be connected with the top brass in the Emmerson Mnangagwa led administration.
Rushwaya and her alleged gold smuggling syndicate comprising of Pakistan business tycoon Ali Mohamed and two State security agents face a mandatory five-year jail term if convicted on smuggling, according to the State through its Prosecutor in this case.
