HARARE – The health of incarcerated Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) deputy chairperson Job Sikhala has deteriorated at Chikurubi prison with allegations of poisoning already doing rounds in different circles.
Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services (ZPCS) contacted Sikhala’s wife on Sunday asking for urgent attention to the charismatic politician whose health has deteriorated.
Sikhala is said to be vomiting and prison wardens have urged the politician’s family to bring in a private doctor for urgent treatment.
Job Sikhala’s lawyer Beatrice Mtetwa is said to have also received a call from Chikurubi prison asking her to urgently get a doctor for lawmaker after a suspected poisoning case in his cell.
However, Sikhala’s wife was not able to see him on Sunday because the imprisoned lawmaker is too weak to walk.
