Nigerian artist Joeboy, real name, Joseph Akinwale Akinfenwa-Donus has become the talking point in Zimbabwe after delivering a lifeless and disappointing performance in Harare on Sunday.
In a show staged at the Borrowdale Racecourse, the popular AfroPop star had the audacity to scam attendees with a karaoke show.
Joeboy was the headline act of the show dubbed “Joeboy Live in Harare Concert” organised by Infinity Sky but his delivery proves that he took Zimbabweans to be a group of ‘muppets’.
Attendees forked out US$30 to US$200 for the poor theatrics though they can get solace in the top-notch performance by Jah Prayzah who was the supporting artist.
The worst part about Joeboy’s night of madness in Zimbabwe is that he did not have an idea of where he was performing as he kept calling the fans ‘Zambians’.
It has become a trend in Zimbabwe that foreign artists take performances for granted even when they are pampered with huge sums of money.
Other artists who performed at the concert are Takura, King 98, DJ Langton, Enjoyment 5.0 and DJ Klique.
