HARARE – The Zimbabwe women’s national cricket team (Lady Chevrons) take on Ireland in their first ODI at Harare Sports Club.
Zimbabwe captain Mary-Anne Musonda said they are thrilled to be part of the history making team.
“We are really excited to be part of this history. It’s the first game after being given the Test and ODI status, so this is a huge development for us, for women’s cricket in Zimbabwe,” Musonda said.
“We just want to play our best cricket, knowing that it’s a first game, everyone will be on debut and we really want to enjoy the moment, everyone is in a good space in the changing room.”
The matches are scheduled for 5, 7, 9 and 11 October all at Harare Sports Club.
