Maswanhise commits to Zimbabwe

Leicester City starlet Tawanda Maswanhise has reaffirmed his commitment to play for Zimbabwe ahead of England.

LONDON – Leicester City starlet Tawanda Maswanhise has reaffirmed his commitment to play for Zimbabwe ahead of England.

There has been speculation that Maswanhise dubbed one of the brightest prospects at Leicester City might be enticed to play for England but his father Jeffery said his son is committed to the Warriors.

Jeffrey who represented Zimbabwe in athletics at the 1998 and 2002 Commonwealth Games implored implored ZIFA to improve their administration to make it easy for players born in the Diaspora to play for the Warriors.

Jeffrey said his son will be coming to play for the Warriors but there are things that he needs to sort out first.

The 18 year old Maswanhise has been in terrific form for the Leicester City U23 side.

Recently he beat seniors Jamie Vardy and Kelechi Iheanacho for the goal of the month award for the month of August.

Last week he was nominated again for another goal of the month gong for the month of September.
