PRETORIA – Prophet Mellontik Orasi, real name Obey Tichafa Gutu, of Christ Redemption Ministries is set to make his mark in the music industry with the release of his highly anticipated debut album, titled “Genesis.“
This comes after the tremendous success of his single track, “Izwi Ndinonzwa,” which has captivated audiences far and wide with more than 134 000 plays on YouTube currently as clear proof.
In an exclusive interview, Prophet Mellontik Orasi expressed his gratitude for the warm reception his music has received thus far.
He shared the inspiration behind his first single, “Inzwi Renyu Ndinonzwa,” explaining that it was a heartfelt tribute to his father before he passed away.
“The song was an instant hit. I had to write those pieces, as the LORD had shown me that I had limited time with my parents. I wanted to sing my father’s favorite song while he was still alive, so he could hear it before he passed on,” the prophet revealed.
He went on to express his gratitude that his father had the opportunity to listen to and enjoy the song before his departure.
Prophet Mellontik Orasi’s music has resonated deeply with listeners, and one particular track, “Anodambura Makashu,” has become a popular sing-along wherever he performs.
Looking ahead, the prophet announced his plans to release a 12-track album, titled “Genesis,” which is scheduled to launch in October this year.
The album will be officially unveiled during a memorial event for his late father in his rural hometown.
