Musona scores in KAS Eupen, Antwerp stalemate

Zimbabwe international forward Knowledge Musona finally remembered how to score with a goal for KAS Eupen in their 2-all draw at Antwerp.

ANTWERP – Zimbabwe international forward Knowledge Musona finally remembered how to score with a goal for KAS Eupen in their 2-all draw at Antwerp.

The former Kaizer Chiefs man scored in the 53rd minute to make it two-nil for Eupen after in-form forward Prevljak Smail had opened the account on the stroke of halftime with a well taken penalty.

Antwerp, however, scored two late goals to snatch a point at home in what would have been an embarrassing defeat for them.

Musona has been putting on some stellar performances for Eupen this season after he was changed from a winger to a new position of creative midfielder.

Meanwhile, France-based utility player Marshall Munetsi received a straight red card in Stade de Reims’ 2-1 defeat at Metz on Sunday.

The Zimbabwean midfielder was sent off in the 50th minute after he fouled an opponent who was through on goal.

The gritty Munetsi has of late been playing in the central defence for Reims and was on Sunday playing as the team’s last man again as he saw red for a rough challenge.
