BLANTYRE – Former Zimbabwe national team coach Kalisto Pasuwa has left Malawian giants FCB Nyasa Big Bullets following the expiry of his contract.
FCB Nyasa Big Bullets decided against renewing Pasuwa’s contract which comes to an end on Wednesday after he failed to defend three titles that he won the previous season.
Manabhundu has also been acting as Malawi national team interim coach and it remains a possibility he will be offered a permanent contract.
Bullets won all four Malawian trophies last year, but they only managed to defend one this year: the Airtel Top 8.

Nyasa failed to retain the Castel Challenge Cup, TNM Super League, and FDH Bank Cup sealing Pasuwa’s fate in the process.
Pasuwa who is now back in Zimbabwe did not attend the Bullets’ red carpet event on Monday, despite officials’ requests, and the team wanted to reward him for his efforts since his arrival in 2018.
Pasuwa has won the league five consecutive seasons since his arrival.
He has also won two FDH Bank Cup trophies, two Airtel Top8 trophies, three Charity Shields, and one Castel Challenge Cup since 2018, in addition to the league.
The former Dynamos coach is among the favourites to land the Scottland FC job though insiders say Tonderai Ndiraya already signed a pre-contract.
