HARARE – Former Dynamos and Warriors coach Kalisto Pasuwa is one match away from winning a third consecutive league title in Malawi.
Pasuwa’s Nyasa Big Bullets regained ground in the title race on Saturday after beating Kamuzu Barracks 3-0 with their closest rivals Silver Strikers losing 2-0 to Moyale Barracks.
Big Bullets seemed like they were losing steam in the title surge after losing to Mighty Wanderers last weekend but turned on the power away to Kamuzu Barracks to put the title race firmly in their hands on Saturday.
Pasuwa’s side can be champions on Sunday if third placed Mighty Wanderers who have two games to play stutter against Blue Eagles.
Mighty Wanderers can only have a maximum of 60 points if they win their two remaining fixtures while Big Bullets are on 59 points needing to win against Karonga United in their last match or have Wanderers drop points in any of their remaining two matches.
Pasuwa has won back to back titles in Malawi titles since moving to Malawi. He won four straight titles with Dynamos from 2011 to 2014.
