Zimbabwe international, Ronald Pfumbidzai has joined South African DStv premiership side Chippa United.

Pfumbidzai had not been playing football since the sale of Bloemfontein Celtic last year to Royal AM where he encountered contractual problems at the new club.

The former CAPS United defender has since last year been fighting to unshackle himself from the contract with Royal AM.

Pfumbidzai was unveiled on Thursday along with midfielder Siphelele Luthuli a former team mate at Bloemfontein Celtics.

“The players have been selected for their quality and consistency in all aspects of the game.

“Their capabilities and potential with their erstwhile teams including the now defunct Bloemfontein Celtics are a key factor and we trust that they will thrive in the Chippa United environment,” said Chippa United in a statement.
