HARARE – The plan to sack clueless Warriors coach Zdravko Logarusic is slowly gathering pace amid revelations some Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) board members are pushing for the idea.
Information from the ZIFA camp indicates a serious division has already erupted with some members concerned about their futures if Loga remains in charge especially as the elections are around the corner.
The cost of keeping the Croatian especially with his dismal record may be suicidal for most members who are already growing unpopular with each day from key stakeholders of the game.
A number of fans across the divide, the media and even neutrals are all singing the chorus “Loga Must Go” with the situation worsened by the recent dismissal of Zambian gaffer Micho this week.
The events in Zambia seems to have alarmed some ZIFA members, considering the fact that Micho had a far better record in terms of results than Loga but FAZ were forced to axe him for poor results.
A technical and development committee chaired by Bryton Malandule has already being tasked with reviewing the performances of Logarusic.
RosGwen24 understands that the coach has already been asked to submit a report of the recent COSAFA tournament held in South Africa.
According to sources, Loga who enjoys the support of ZIFA President Felton Kamambo and technical director Wilson Mutekede is living on borrowed time as some top government officials are already calling for his sacking.
The COSAFA tournament in South Africa where the Warriors had a forgettable performance on all fronts may prove to be the last straw for the unpopular Croatian who recently became the first foreign coach to help Zimbabwe qualify for AFCON finals.
