HARARE – The information received is that two truckloads of anti-riot police are parked near the entrance to the MDC headquarters in Harare.
This follows the arrest of MDC activist Makomborero Haruzivishe along Luck Street in Harare about an hour ago.
Police are believed to be on witch-hunt for opposition members following the surprise demonstrations by the party’s youth wing on Wednesday.

MDC Youth leader Gift Siziba confirmed the arrest of Haruzivishe.
“Makomborero Haruzivishe has been picked up by over 50 armed police while eating sadza in Luck street. He is with Alan Moyo and Oswald Zvobgo,” said Siziba.
Zimbabwe opposition members have had their freedom limited following the ascension of President Emmerson Mnangagwa through a military-backed operation in November 2017.
