HARARE – Zimbabwe Republic Police said on Thursday morning they have arrested Pius Jamba in connection with the abduction and murder of Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) activist Moreblessing Ali.
The police said a detailed statement will be released during the course of Thursday regarding the arrest of Jamba who is a well known supporter of the ruling Zanu PF party.
Moreblessing Ali was found dead and cut into pieces in a Nyatsime well after abduction by suspected ZANU PF members who include Jamba recently.
Moreblessing Ali, 46, had disappeared on Tuesday 24 May 2022, raising suspicions that she may have been kidnapped by suspected state security agents based on evidence provided.
