HARARE – Zimbabwean academic and prominent lawyer Alex Magaisa has died aged 46 years.
SAPES Trust director Ibbo Mandaza broke the shocking news on Twitter but could not divulge the reason behind Magaisa’s death.
However, a source revealed that Magaisa suffered a cardiac arrest at Margate Hospital on Sunday.
Dr Magaisa was a lecturer of law at the University of Kent in United Kingdom.
He rose to prominence during the Government of National Unity (GNU) after becoming the Advisor to the late Morgan Tsvangirai, then Prime Minister from 2012-13.
