Charlton Hwende, Opinion
The recent illegal dismissal of six MPs from the MDC Alliance at the instigation of the Zanu-PF regime is an attack on electoral democracy.
The panicked Zanu PF regime is using its proxies in the ranks of the opposition to undermine the will of the electorate to consolidate its one-party rule.
The Peoples Democratic Party did not participate in the 2018 general elections, and it is both absurd and absurd that Speaker of Parliament Jacob Mudenda could allow a political party to impeach MPs he did not appoint or support .
It is both irrational and unconstitutional. This is the clearest sign that Mudenda, who wants to be fair and neutral, is a captured man.
A compromised Speaker is a threat to the institution of Parliament. It is time for all progressive citizens to come together and face this military dictatorship.
