Zimbabwe has been boosted by the arrivals of captain Knowledge Musona, new assistant coach Benjani Mwaruwari and Humburger SV starlet Jonah Fabisch ahead of the crunch 2022 Qatar World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Ethiopia.
The Warriors technical team led by under-fire coach Zdravko Logarusic were forced to replace players named in the initial squad who could not make it due to various issues.
English Premier League clubs could not release players to Covid-19 red listed countries while other players such as Ovidy Karuru and Jimmy Dzingai were forced to withdraw.
However, the Warriors still have a strong squad capable of grinding results with the core of players still available.
Marshall Munetsi who had a great game for Stade de Reims in their 2-0 loss to Lionel Messi’s Paris Saint-German is expected in the camp on Wednesday.
