PRETORIA – CAPS United midfielder Blessing Sarupinda has become the latest Zimbabwe international to join ambitious Mzansi club Sekhukhune United on a two-year contract.

The newly promoted South Africa DStv Premiership side has already earned a new name as ‘Zimbabwe United’ following its massive recruitment of Zimbabweans this transfer window.

The youngster who is a graduate of Aces Youth Soccer Academy (AYSA) joins veteran goalkeeper Tapuwa Kapini, midfielders Talent Chawapiwa and Willard Katsande at the club.

Sekhukhune has already released other Zimbabwean players in Walter Musona and McClive Phiri following a dismal season.

The departure of Sarupinda is a blow to Harare giants CAPS United who also lost their top marksman Ishmael Wadi to a South African First Division side JDR Stars last week following a successful trial stint.

Sarupinda had an impressive outing during the COSAFA Cup 2021 tournament held in South Africa last month even though Zimbabwe under the Croatian gaffer Zdravko Logarusic was poor.
