DALIAN – Shanghai Port defeated Shenzhen FC 2-0 in a highly entertaining Chinese Super League (CSL) match played at Dalian Sports Center Stadium on Tuesday night.
The Red Eagles secured the victory thanks to an own goal by Shenzhen FC defender Pei Shuai in the 56th minute before Senegalese forward Cherif Ndiaye closed the show sixteen minutes later.
Shenzhen FC dominated possession throughout the match racking a percentage of 57 but their attempt on goal was rather poor.
The latest victory takes Shanghai Port to sixth position on the Chinese Super League log-standings with 20 points after 12 games.
