Liberia have been drawn against Morocco, South Africa and Zimbabwe in Group K for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, which begin in June.

The draw was carried out by South African journalist Thomas Mlabo at 17:30 GMT on April 19 and assisted by former Ivory Coast international Solomon Kalou and former South Africa international Lucas Radebe at SuperSport’s studios in Johannesburg, in South Africa.

Forty-eight (48) countries that have qualified to participate in the second round of the qualifiers are divided into four pots based on the official FIFA ranking published on March 31, 2022.

The teams were split into 12 groups of four (groups A to L), with the top two teams from each group advancing to the final.

AFCON 2023 hosts Ivory Coast will participate in the qualifiers despite securing a place in the tournament, which means only one team from their group will qualify for the competition.
