LUSAKA – Mbabala constituency legislator Ephraim Belemu rejected the plot by the ruling party to manipulate Zambians through the ‘ineffective’ Religious Affairs ministry.
Speaking in parliament, the outspoken UPND party representative said government had no moral duty to dictate how and where people should worship.
The anger was after the Patriotic Front government labelled citizens who snubs national prayer sessions as ‘anti-Christ’ especially the opposition politicians.
“This rising of religiosity is a danger to our nation and clearly is crafted around the manipulation of citizens of this country,” said Belemu.
