MAPUTO – United States of America ambassador to the United Nations, Linda Thomas-Greenfield is visiting Mozambique this week with the aim of establishing and strengthening the existing partnerships between the two countries.
During the visit, Thomas-Greenfield will welcome the country to its first term as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council.
The US ambassador’s agenda also includes a meeting with students, members of civil society and actors involved in measures to adapt to climate change in the country to be included in exchange programs.
On the five-day visit to Africa, Thomas-Greenfield will also visit Ghana and Kenya, with a view to closer cooperation with current and former members of the UN Security Council.
