South Africa-based nanny-cum-gospel singer Tutsirayi Derera has said she was inspired by fellow gospel musician Mathias Mhere on her lyrically waxed and well-woven debut album A Prayer For Restoration due for release anytime.
Derera who migrated across Limpopo in search of better fortunes said she has been working on a gospel album after experiencing the greatness of God through her life situations.
The album will carry 10 songs plus a bonus track from a her favorite AFM hymnal chorus she likes so much since the days of her youth.
“I grew up attending AFM in Zimbabwe but when I came here (South Africa) I have been going to Fountain of Victory International Church under the stewardship of Apostle Joséph Ziwa and its really encouraging,” said Derera.
According to Derera who spoke to RosGwen24 News, she had hoped to work with talented gospel singer Mathias Mhere on this forthcoming project only for certain complications to derail that dream.
“I am inspired by Mathias Mhere and I even tried to reach out to him but I couldn’t get him that time since he was occupied with the recording of his album. I hope to feature him in the future projects,” said the singer.
Derera said experiences and challenges she has faced in life have strengthened her faith in the gospel of Christ and her story will also help one or two souls to open their way to Jesus.
“On my message, I thank God for everything he has done for me. There is a story to tell in my life from where I came from to where I am this day. I really really thank God,” concluded the 35-years old mother of four kids that is 3 girls and a boy.
That’s really great. Inspired too…
Amazing story. All the best woman of grace.
