Zimdancehall chanter Hwinza, born Simbarashe Magado, was involved in a car crash as he was returning home after performing in South Africa at the weekend.
Fellow dancehall singer Seh Calaz confirmed the development on social media with pictures of Hwinza in hospital attached to the post.
“Get well soon superstar Hwinza. Tenda Mwari nekuti marata ayo anotengwa mamwe asi hupenyu hautengeke (Thank God for surviving because you can buy another car but not life),” said Seh Calaz.
Hwinza became famous after recording the song “Lula Lula” at the famous Mbare stable ChillSpot Records.
Other popular songs by the chanter include “Hohwa” featuring Seh Calaz, “Handikanganwe Kwandabva” featuring Hwindi President and “Rest In Peace Amai” among others.
