JOHANNESBURG – Victoria Falls music sensation Andrea The Vocalist has arrived in South Africa to work with veteran South African music producer and Amapiano star DJ Maphorisa.
The talented 13-year-old Andrea The Vocalist, real name, Andrea Sibanda best known for his hit song Uhambo is in South Africa for his highly anticipated collaboration with DJ Maphorisa.
According to his management, Andrea will direct a video for Uhambo, a song with South African musician Aubrey Qwana.
“The talks started in January, on Andrea’s birthday. We had a meeting with Maphorisa and agreed to work together.
“Now we have managed to leave for South Africa, where Andrea will also shoot a video for Uhambo with Aubrey,” said Tendai Joe, founder of JBross Entertainment who manages Andrea The Vocalist.
“We are happy with this development and are very proud of Andrea who managed to record with such great artists. This is a big problem not only for him but for the entire Zimbabwean music industry.
“We would like to thank Tinashe Mutarisi for coming on board and supporting Andrea with all necessary resources,” he added.
Andrea shot to fame in 2021 after a video of him singing at a funeral went viral on TikTok, racking up over 3 million views in 3 weeks.
The video delighted music lovers, including South African musician Aubrey Qwana, who later worked with the talented Andrea on Uhambo after being connected to the artist by Plot Mhako.
