HARARE – Contemporary reggae artist Andy Muridzo, real name, Andrew Ngwenya has suspended his manager Onsimo Sain over mismanagement of funds and gross misconduct allegations.
In a letter addressed to the manager, Muridzo said:
“This note constitutes official notice of your suspension from Andy Muridzo & Jeetaz Band because of your most recent actions which include mismanagement of funds, gross negligence, ill treatment of the band and insubordination.”
According to the Malowe singer the suspension is “until further notice”.
Andy Muridzo went on to elaborate the terms of Sain’s suspension:
“Unless contacted beforehand, you are not permitted to interfere with the administration of all Muridzo Fan groups with immediate effect.
“You are not permitted to use the official social media platforms including email to correspond with fans and stakeholders.
“We advise you to refrain from making any public comments about the Muridzo brand as this is beyond your role.
Andy Muridzo, however, opened the door for Sain to dispute the suspension if the allegations leveled against him are not true.
“If you have any questions regarding this suspension or if you have any important information that could shed further light on these allegations, please do not hesitate to contact me,” he wrote.
The multi-talented Andy Muridzo has hogged the limelight for a long time over unprofessional ethics which some believe has been his biggest undoing.
