Bulawayo Chiefs coach Nilton Terroso will be in the dugout for yet another derby test when his side lock horns with equally bruised Chicken Inn in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League game to be played at Luveve Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The Ninjas suffered a last minute defeat to FC Platinum at Mandava Stadium on Saturday after displaying splendid football on the pitch, while their Sunday opponents were defeated by Tenax by a goal to nil.
Despite being handed two defeats in their last games, Nilton Terroso is well aware of the danger his opponents pose as they will be looking forward to closing the gap against log leaders FC Platinum.
“It is a difficult game like we said. Chicken Inn have been on the first position for the majority of the league apart from the last two weeks. They are a team we have to be at our best if we want to get out of the game as victors,” said Terroso.
All will be to play for when the two sides meet at Luveve Stadium, with Bulawayo Chiefs looking forward to reviving their league campaign while Chicken Inn will want to keep their championship dreams alive.
Both teams have not seen the back of the net in their last two defeats, with the Portuguese coach Nilton Terroso hoping to turn that around come match day at Luveve.
“We have only scored 17 goals in 20 games. For a team of our quality, the way that we play its not good enough. We need to tie our performances into points. We need to score from the opportunities that we create. We create too many and score too little,” said Terroso.
Bulawayo Chiefs currently occupy the tenth position in log standings and they are yet to collect maximum points in a return leg fixture. Triangle United was the first return leg fixture which ended in a two all draw.
