HARARE – Newly appointed head coach of the Zimbabwe senior men’s football team, Baltemar Brito, has named his first-ever squad for an invitational match against Botswana scheduled for the end of this month.
Brito’s coaching team includes Bongani Mafume and Genesis Mangombe, who will serve as his assistants. The trio is expected to lead the Warriors until June 2024.
The squad selected by Brito comprises standout players from various Zimbabwean clubs competing in the current domestic premier league football race.
Among the notable clubs represented in the squad are Ngezi Platinum, Highlanders, Manica Diamonds, and Dynamos.

Brito, a seasoned football coach with extensive experience after working with Roma manager Jose Mourinho, will be tasked with leading the Warriors to success in international competitions.
