Baroka FC offloads Chipezeze to reduce wage bill

Former Warriors goalkeeper Elvis Chipezeze has been released by South African club Baroka FC as the club seeks to reduce their wage bill after being relegated from the DStv Premier League.

POLOKWANE – Former Warriors goalkeeper Elvis Chipezeze has been released by South African club Baroka FC as the club seeks to reduce their wage bill after being relegated from the DStv Premier League.

Though having lost the first choice slot to South African Oscarine Masuluke, Chipezeze remained one of the top earners at the club.

A darling of the Baroka FC fans, Chipezeze joined Bakgakga from Chicken Inn in 2018 and quickly established himself at the club winning the Telkom Knockout Cup goalkeeper of the tournament.

In 2020, Chipezeze was appointed Baroka FC captain. The Limpopo based side will now campaign in the GladAfrica Championship which the equivalent of the local first division.
