Bayern Munich had 12 players on the pitch for a few moments in Saturday’s 4-1 win over Freiburg in the Bundesliga, casting doubts over the result.

The mistake happened in the 85th minute, Bayern were already leading 3-1.

A double substitution was made, but only one player remained, leaving Bayern one man ahead.

Football experts hint that Bayern’s win could be overturned, with a possible points deduction.

At the time of the error, Serge Gnabry and Kingsley had given Coman a 3-1 lead after Nils Petersen canceled out Leon Goretzka’s opener.

Julian Nagelsmann chose to eliminate Coman and Corentin Tolisso, who had entered 20 minutes earlier, but only one player left the field.

In the 87th minute, the VAR notified the match official of the incident and the game was stopped.

A few moments of confusion ensued, and in the end the game restarted and eight minutes were added, although that probably didn’t end the affair.

Marcel Sabitzer, one of the double substitutes, scored Bayern’s fourth goal in the 96th minute.
