Brazilian striker Henrique Dourado suspended for tripping referee in Chinese Super League

The Chinese Football Association (CFA) announced on Friday that Brazilian forward Henrique Dourado of Henan Songshan Longmen has been suspended for 12 months for his "act of violence" against referee Ma Ning in the Chinese Super League (CSL) last Sunday.

BEIJING – The Chinese Football Association (CFA) announced on Friday that Brazilian forward Henrique Dourado of Henan Songshan Longmen has been suspended for 12 months for his “act of violence” against referee Ma Ning in the Chinese Super League (CSL) last Sunday.

Henrique Dourado was sent off in the 2-2 draw between Wuhan Yangtze and Henan SSLM for tripping the match official.

The Brazilian striker bumped into Ma Ning, the referee, from the back after a verbal dispute between the two in a CSL match on Sunday.

CFA announced the punishment against Dourado which was judged as intentional.

Dourado has been suspended for 12 months and fined 200,000 renminbi (US$30,000) because of the incident.
