GUANGZHOU – Philanthropist Chipo Munjeri popularly known as Tracyhappy continues to receive recognition for her stellar efforts in uplifting African communities through charity initiatives.
The philanthropist-cum-author scooped the Charity Fundraiser of the Year gong at the Pride of Africa Asia Pacific Awards 2022 gala staged at Soluxe Hotel Guangzhou on Friday.
Organised by Appreciate Africa Network (AAN), the Pride of Africa Asia Pacific Awards returned offline on Friday night after two years owing to COVID-19 restrictions and as expected it was ritzy in all points.
Tracyhappy is the founder and director of Sunrise Foundation Africa, a charity organization that has made tremendous contribution to uplift the needy in Harare, Masvingo and Midlands among other areas.
It is through this project that the Shenzhen based Munjeri was deservedly crowned Charity Fundraiser of the Year at an event graced by dignitaries from various sectors in China.
“I am grateful to the organisers for giving me such respect and above all glory to God for lifting me high. My self-belief will surely be improved by the awards. It will also give me more duties to improve my work.
“I will put more effort going forward to bring change in communities and ensure our goals as a charity foundation are fulfilled,” said an elated Munjeri.
Munjeri has also been making waves across the globe after publishing her bestselling, debut book ‘Surviving the Agony of Shame’ recently.
