HARARE – Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) member Madzibaba Veshanduko, real name, Godfrey Karembera was reportedly summoned before Chief Chipuriro’s court in Mashonaland Central province recently and threatened with eviction from his homestead on unproven charges.
CCC spokesperson Fadzayi Mahere tweeted that the party had learned that Madzibaba Veshanduko had been summoned to the chief’s court and was in danger of losing his homestead.
“We have received a report that Madzibaba Veshanduko is facing eviction from his homestead. He’s been summoned to the court of Chief Chipuriro.”

As political fervour builds ahead of this year’s historic elections, cases of political victimisation are becoming more severe in many sections of Zimbabwe.
Investigative journalist Hopewell Chin’ono castigated the barbaric act by ‘the state’ on perceived enemies asserting that Karembera is being “politically persecuted”.
