PRETORIA – Zimbabwe national football team registered their second successive win of the 2024 COSAFA Cup with a 2-0 win over rivals Zambia on Sunday were reduced to ten men after red card.

Goals from man of the moment Michael Tapera and Takunda Benhura were enough for the Warriors to dismantle Chipolopolo and move to six points in Group B of the Hollywoodbets COSAFA Cup tourney.

Comoros who lost to Zimbabwe in their first match are now second in the group with three points after posting a win over guest team Kenya while Zambia anchor the group after two losses so far.

Richard Hachiro was voted the Player of the Match after a stellar performance.

British born players were once again relegated to the bench by Warriors interim coach Jairos Tapera as debate of their omission continues in the streets.

The players include Brentford keeper Marley Tavaziva and Shane Maroodza of Huddersfield.
