HARARE – Castle Lager Premier League reigning champions FC Platinum have been drawn against Angolan champions Sagrada Esperanca FC in the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.
The side from Zvishavane will play the first leg away in Angola on the weekend of 10-12 September and will be eager to get the job down before the second leg.
FC Platinum who are coached by Norman Mapeza got the nod to represent the country in this year’s Champions League by virtue of being the last league winners before football action was stopped by coronavirus outbreak.
Meanwhile, Kalisto Pasuwa’s Nyasa Big Bullets (Malawi) will face Amazulu of South Africa in the preliminary round. The winner of the two-legged ties will face Congolese giants TP Mazembe in the next round.
