CAPE TOWN — South African Finance minister Enoch Godongwana has denied the sexual assault allegations which allegedly happened recently in his hotel room.
In a statement released on Saturday, the minister said he was aware that a sexual harassment case had been opened against him in Skukuza, Mpumalanga.
“It has come to Minister Godongwa’s attention that a case of alleged sexual harassment against him has been opened in Skukuza, Mpumalanga,” his spokesperson Mfuneko Toyana said.
“The minister was informed that the case was opened by a Skukuza employee who offered massages to clients in their rooms,” the statement said.
Godongwana has denied claims that he was with his wife Thandisiwe at the time of the alleged incident.
“Minister Godongwana categorically denies this allegation.”
He further adds that he has not received any information regarding charges by the police.
