HARARE – Talented songbird, Gemma Griffiths has found love in Kwale – a beautiful place in Kenya, which has resulted in the release of a song dedicated to the place.
The song talks about the love, affection and connection which exist between Gemma and Kwale, the famous capital of Kwale County in the east African nation of Kenya.
“Kwale is a place in Kenya, where I found myself returning over and over as I travelled the East coast of Africa.
“It represented a safe have built on familiarity, and whenever I was longing for home, but too far away, I would go back to Kwale, and that comfort of knowing a place so well, gave me solace.
“In Kwale, I found the words to the song, I wrote them on sandy beach, and now I finally get to share them with everyone,” said Gemma.
The song which has been going up the charts on YouTube trending for music was produced by Charlie Kay and DJ Tamuka.
Gemma who rose to fame through “MuGarden” featuring people’s favourite artist Winky D has been creating a for herself through consistency each year.
In 2021 alone she has produced another banger Maita Basa Baba off Rematare riddim produced by Chillspot Records.
Gemma also dropped an extended play – Pamwe EP while her collaboration track Easy (Remix) featuring Chimano [Sauti Sol] was well played.
