BULAWAYO – Financially troubled Bulawayo giants Highlanders have announced a partnership deal with internet services company Utande that will alleviate their problems for the next six months.
Utande will take care of the salaries for the Highlanders first team players for the next six months starting in September.
“We are glad to announce that we have tied down a six month partnership deal with Utande Internet Service providers. In this arrangement, Utande will take care of the first team players’ salaries. The agreement is effective from 1 September,” said the club in a statement.
Bosso players have gone for the past three months without salaries which prompted some senior players to opt out.
Captain Ariel Sibanda and his deputy Nqobizitha Masuku have already written to the club terminating their contracts.
