WASHINGTON — Celebrity couple Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck tied the knot on Saturday — for the second time in just over a month — in a lavish ceremony at the ‘Good Will Hunting’ star’s home.
The A-list lovebirds tied the knot in Las Vegas in mid-July but made it official again, this time in front of friends and family at Affleck’s 35-acre waterfront property in southeastern Georgia.
Among the Hollywood guys who took part in the three-day affair were Matt Damon, a longtime friend of Affleck’s, and director Kevin Smith, People magazine reported.
According to Fox News, guests wore white, while Lopez wore an Italian-made Ralph Lauren dress.
Photos posted before the wedding by celebrity gossip site TMZ showed seats for dinner were laid out on what appeared to be a large covered dock, with a large pyrotechnic barge floating nearby.
The couple – Affleck (50) and Lopez aged 53 – first met in 2002 on the set of the high-profile film Gigli.
They caused a media sensation when they started dating, but postponed their planned wedding in 2003, then announced in early 2004 that their relationship was over.
“Bennifer” – the couple’s public nickname since their first high-profile relationship – set the internet ablaze last year when photos of them together circulated again.
Lopez and Ben Affleck announced their engagement in April.
Lopez posted a video to her On The JLo newsletter in which she appeared emotional and admired a green ring. US media reported that the ring was an emerald-cut light green diamond.
This is Lopez’s fourth marriage and Affleck’s second.
Lopez opened up about her renewed relationship with Affleck in an interview with People in February.
“It’s a beautiful love story that we got a second chance,” she said.
